Lewis McGowan Wins British Arrow Award

A huge congratulations to Lewis McGowan for winning the Craft Award for Best Actor at the British Arrow Awards 2012 for his role in the John Lewis Christmas Advert last year! In the 90-second commercial, Lewis is shown impatiently counting down the days until Christmas. When it finally arrives, the little boy doesn't rush to open his own presents, but instead rushes to get the gift he has for his parents! It definitely left all our hearts melted last winter. The loved advert has been viewed more than 4.6million times on YouTube! 

On winning the award Lewis said: “I did not think I would win. It was very exciting to go up on stage and see all these people applauding me".

This features our very own Lewis counting down the days to Christmas, which we are sure most of you already are! As you will see Lewis is as cute as a button, so get your tissues ready as the reactions so far have been tears? Switch your TVs on during tomorrow's xfactor to see the Ad launch for the first time.

Lewis will be featuring in this year’s John Lewis 2011 TV Christmas Ad. The Ad will be going viral on Facebook and YouTube tomorrow before it airs in the ad break during Saturday's 'X Factor' live show! John Lewis expects the 60-second advert to be viewed by 44 million people at least once during the course of its five-week run. Television activity will be supported by print, in-store, online and social media activity. Lewis will also be featuring in the online videos. With little more than a month left till Christmas, show your support for little Lewis and get in the Christmas spirit by taking a look at the Ad.
